Violent phone craze hits UK

A disturbing and violent craze is spreading across the U.K., aided by cell phones and 3G.

British authorities are seeing a rise in “happy slapping,” in which youths assault a stranger and film the incident with their mobile phones.

People have been attacked in such innocent circumstances like jogging, waiting for the bus and withdrawing money from an ATM. London police have investigated more than 200 incidents over the past 6 months.
