OK, so I never owned a C64 (I had an Amstrad) but all my friends had C64’s so I got to play a lot of the games…plus back in those days the same games were often available on the Amstrad as well (but I’d note the graphics were a lot better on the Amstrad).

I inherited an Atari, which was probably the best machine around in its day. Then I got an Amstrad, which was an eye-opener if you wanted to do serious stuff, like writing books. Some friends had Commodores. Amazing how people remember those Heath-Robinson machines. 🙂
Great find, Duncan…I’ve never heard of an Amstrad, but I did have a C64. My favorite game was called Ghosts n’ Goblins. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like they have it yet.
