His work in technology journalism goes back further. In 2003 he founded The Blog Herald, an early news site about the blogging industry that grew to a Technorati Top 100 ranking before being sold in 2006. In 2005 he co-founded b5media, a venture-backed blog network that grew to around 300 titles across technology, lifestyle, and entertainment.
In 2007 he joined TechCrunch as a senior writer. In 2008 he left to found The Inquisitr, an independent news site that reached 17 million monthly unique visitors before he sold it in 2011.
Between Inquisitr and SiliconANGLE he ran several smaller media ventures, including Medacity, a new-media news site launched in 2011.
He has been designing and publishing on the web since 1995. Originally from Sydney, he is now based in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
