  • Strange Google Adsense ads

I was just setting up a new template over at Supernanny Rules and I spotted this ad:

I thought I must have stuffed the Adsense code up. I re did it 3 times, and yet still the same ad. It should look like this:

Odd thing is, both ad codes are identical. The odd Adsense ad, a part from changing color magically by itself, also lacks an Ads by Google and Advertise here links as well.

    Something new from Google perhaps???

  • CafePress.com Introduces TopicAds

This is interesting. It’s basically Tag-based contextual advertising based around CafePress’ user generated content. What will they think of next!

  • How long to Fold folds?

Another wacky Web 2.0 service: Fold. As they say: me no see no business plan here! and a very limited market to boot.

  • New toy, or why I shouldn’t be allowed to spend money 🙂

    It was cheap: Godlyreminders.

I was actually bidding on another site at Sitepoint from the same guy but missed it, and I’ve always wanted a link directory, if only to learn how they work. He dropped me a PM to see if I was interested.

Still haven’t really had any time to play with it yet. Needs a fresh coat of paint and some advertising….

  • Windows is stupid

But we all know that don’t we. I haven’t been able to see any of my sites with the www included for days due to some stupid Windows issue. Two lines fixed it all. Hopefully now I’m back 🙂

  • WP-Macros

Aarons got a new plug: WP-Macros…..damn fine idea Aaron.

  • Is Origami Left Handed?

Yep, the first pick of Microsoft’s you-beaut Origami has leaked (photo via Origami Portal)

My question is this? is it left handed? the mouse like device is situated on the left hand side. Now I’m left handed but I use a mouse right handed, but I know other left handed people who prefer a mouse on the left hand side. Why would Microsoft put the mouse style controller on the left? I mean with all due respect to right handed people, they’re hardly known for being ambidextrous now are they?

  • Blog Explosion for Sale

And people though The Blog Herald was a big sale! Check this out.

    – BE is approaching 50,000 members
    – We have served 22 million visits via surfing blogs and millions of others across the site
    – BE signs up on average 100-150 new members per day
    – BlogExplosion has over 1 million listings in Google
    – We are ranked #4714 on Alexa and trending in the right direction

Any guesses on numbers? I’m guessing $250k. There’s no mention of revenue though so if they aren’t makeing say $10k a month expect less, although a db of 50k would have to be worth, at a minimum, of $3-$4 per subscriber….

  • Lost in moving

I’m still here…I think, although this site is still not always showing from my end after the host move. Apologies to regular readers, I’m slowly worknig on it, although one word of advice: me and cPanel don’t mix very well it would seem 🙂
