A HORROR comedy about killer sheep made in New Zealand and distributed by an Australian company will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.

“When a reckless genetic engineering experiment goes horribly wrong, a flock of innocent sheep accidentally transforms into a pack of blood-thirsty killers,” festival notes say.

Special effects in the film, Black Sheep, were created by the Weta Workshop of Kiwi filmmaker Peter Jackson, who started out making low-budget horror comedies.

Funding was from the NZ Film Commission and South Korea’s Daesung Group.

Hewe appropriate 🙂
