2nd, 6th… got to try harder

April 16, 2009

The queen of Australian blogging lists Meg updated her Top 100/ 250 Australian blog list over Easter, the first time since Australia Day. The Inquisitr came second for the 2nd time running. My old business partner Darren Rowse beat me out with Problogger. He wasn’t there last time: in Jan it was Gizmodo Australia, the Allure Media title.

Meg for the first time is asking for donations, and I’ve sent over a small amount. Even if I’d rather be first, and we can argue about the way she calculates it, I value that list none the less, and I’d encourage others on it to donate.

The Inquisitr came in 6th on the Technation list of top Australian startups here which is flatering given the competition.

Onward and above….

  1. nice to see the update. I suspect the change in rankings of ProBlogger largely came from the changes at Alexa of late – ProBlogger took a big leap up in the rankings for some reason. It'd previously gone down considerably 4-5 months ago last time they seemed to change their algorithm. Of course we all know how accurate Alexa is – my other blog DPS does 4 times the traffic of ProBlogger yet Problogger well outranks it. Anyway – nice to see some new blogs in the list – congrats again on being at the pointy end!

  2. Keep it up,the way to success is to try harder in any way….We can make it.

  5. Hey Duncan,

Well done on the continued success of Inquisitr.

Thank you for your kind words and the inaugural (and solitary) donation 🙂

  6. Awesome posting and informative contents you have in this blog. I am sure people will get benefit from this post who are seeking to increase knowledge.

  7. I don't like these lists. What are the criteria upon which that list is created? I don't really see any good bullet points for it.

  8. I disagree with James, these list could be useful for an internet marketer as they do blog walking.

  9. nice icons although m0dus is overusing them a bit!!! I change the wallpaper from disney's turok to wallpaper from a game that doesn't disney acting auditions suck as bad as disney's turok.

  10. Back in 1999 while Walt Disney?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s nephew Roy Edward Disney was working on Phantasia 2000, he decided to finish the Destino project based on the original storyboards along with some input from John Hench himself. Unfortunately it never made it into Phantasia 2000, but luckily we have a little thing called YouTube. The final result is a mix of traditional disney acting auditions hand drawn and computer animation. This is probably the weirdest Disney cartoon you?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll ever see, so you should definitely check it out before Disney?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s lawyers take it down.
